Teaching assistant

• Providing direct support to students in the classroom, helping them access the curriculum and manage learning tasks
• Assisting teachers in implementing individualised education plans and sensory strategies
• Supporting students to develop their social communication and emotional regulation skills
• Contributing to a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
• Working closely with teachers and the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve

• Prior experience working with children or young people, ideally those with Autism or SEND
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting complex needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• An understanding of sensory processing and strategies to manage associated difficulties
