Job Responsibility:

  • Provide direct support to students in the classroom and during various activities, both academic and recreational
  • Assist teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Help to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach
  • Contribute to the individual progress and well-being of our students
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting students, including those who may exhibit challenging behaviours. Your calm demeanour and ability to build rapport will be key
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle due to the rural location of the school
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the development and well-being of young people.
