Job Description:

As a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) at Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils thrive both academically and personally. Working closely with teachers and senior staff, you’ll support children across a wide age range, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This is a hands-on role where every day brings new opportunities to make a real difference.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver tailored in-class and intervention support, provide feedback, and promote well-being
Help maintain an engaging classroom, manage resources safely, and assist with displays
Prepare lesson materials, track progress, support assessments, and use ICT effectively
Encourage positive behaviour, foster inclusion, and supervise pupils during enrichment and breaks
Work closely with staff, liaise with families and partners, and engage in meetings and training

Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
good literacy and numeracy skills
experience in a classroom or learning support role
confidence supporting pupils with SEND, EAL, or complex needs
strong interpersonal and communication skills
organised, adaptable, and committed to helping every child thrive
willingness to uphold the values and ethos of Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue
