Job Description:

"A Teaching Assistant doesn't just assist; they inspire, mentor, and nurture the potential of every student." Randstad Education is working closely with a number of inclusive and welcoming primary schools across West Sussex, who are looking for enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistants to join their teams. These schools offer a supportive environment, on-the-job training, and a clear pathway for development within education. In this full-time, term-time position, you'll support pupils aged 4-11 in their academic and personal growth.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting the class teacher with small group or 1:1 learning
Monitoring and reporting on student progress
Assisting with students' personal care and well-being needs
Promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
Communicating with parents and school staff to support student development

Requirements:

Experience working with children (school, nursery, childcare, etc.)
Grade C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
A positive and proactive approach
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Behaviour and classroom management skills
Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
