Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants for secondary schools across Wrexham, Flintshire, and Denbighshire. If you are a classroom professional who knows how to guide students and manage a classroom environment effectively, we have local roles waiting for you. We have positions starting ASAP and for the Summer Term (April). You can choose between flexible daily cover to suit your lifestyle or consistent long-term placements.

Job Responsibility:

Support students in small groups to help them reach their learning targets
Assist the class teacher with behaviour management and maintaining a calm environment
Help students break down instructions and stay focused on their set tasks
Lead small group sessions to boost progress in core subjects like English and Maths
Act as a reader or scribe for students during assessments and mock exams
Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and organisation
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all pupils
Provide a brief handover to the teacher regarding student progress during the lesson

Requirements:

Proven experience working with children in a school or professional setting
A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Classroom and behaviour management
