Teaching Assistant Wanted in Chester! Location: All areas in and across Chester (CH1 - CH4), including City Centre, Hoole, Upton, Blacon, Huntington, and Saltney. Job Responsibility

  • Provide 1:1 and small group academic support for students aged 11-16
  • Assist class teachers in managing classroom behaviour and student engagement
  • Help deliver pre-planned lesson materials across various secondary subjects
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and productive learning environment
  • Guide students through Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum goals
  • Act as a positive role model for teenagers within a mainstream school setting
  • Monitor and report on student attendance and academic participation

Requirements

  • Solid experience working with children or young people in settings such as schools, youth clubs, or child care
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teenagers and staff
  • A calm, patient approach when handling challenging situations or complex needs
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)

Nice to have
