Join the team at Cotswold Spa Hospital School as a Teaching Assistant and be part of supporting the delivery of education to resident with eating disorders to help build a brighter future. You will work at the Cotswold Spa Hospital School in Broadway, Worcestershire with an onsite school. The school provides educational services to the young people in our care with a full multidisciplinary team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide on-hand support to teachers as they design and deliver classroom lessons. This will see you assist in the preparation for these lessons, ensuring the classroom has all materials required and supporting pupils to engage in the syllabus. You'll be able to think creatively and build a strong rapport with the cohort, encouraging engagement and supporting their learning, behaviour and social skills progression. Job Responsibility
Provide on-hand support to teachers as they design and deliver classroom lessons

Requirements
Education-related qualifications
Previous experience of working with children in a school setting
Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
Hobbies/interests/skills that contribute to a wide curriculum offering
Have experience of working with young people with SEMH needs and/or SEN
Be able to identify and implement interventions to ensure students engage in lessons and make progress
Be resilient, flexible, and adaptable in approach in order to meet the needs of each individual
Be able to empathise and engage easily with young people, offering appropriate and professional support at all times
What we offer
Annual base salary of £26,784 (Pro Rata Salary is £21,427)
The equivalent of 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) – plus your birthday off and the option to buy additional annual leave
