Job Description:

Hamilton Academy is looking to employ a Teaching Assistant. The role will initially be focused on supporting pupils 1-to-1 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reporting to the SENCo, but could also include working with other individuals or groups under the direction of the class teacher and Year Group Leader. The role may be based in any key stage within the school, from EYFS to KS2.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils 1-to-1 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reporting to the SENCo
  • Working with other individuals or groups under the direction of the class teacher and Year Group Leader
  • Working as part of a year group team to ensure all children receive a high quality and stimulating educational experience which meets their individual needs and supports all aspects of the curriculum

Requirements:

  • Experience and/or skills to support pupils in class and through individual or small group interventions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive, flexible attitude and approach
  • Ability to use own initiative
