Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and resilient Teaching Assistant to join the school's support team for the final term of the year. You will work closely with the SENCO to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who require additional guidance to reach their potential. This role is ideal for an individual who can balance academic support with a firm but empathetic approach to behaviour management.

Job Responsibility:

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for students with additional learning needs
implement trigger awareness strategies to de-escalate challenging situations
support delivery of KS3/KS4 curriculum
maintain detailed records of student progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

Minimum of 6 months' experience working in a UK school setting
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one immediately)
local to the Rochdale area
strong skills in managing classroom dynamics and a deep understanding of student triggers
familiarity with the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum
