Job Description:

Long-term, Full-time Teaching Assistant role at a friendly and inclusive primary school in Brighton from January. The school has clear routines, strong behaviour expectations, and a collaborative staff culture. Teaching Assistants are valued as a core part of the classroom team and are given clear direction and consistent support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils during whole-class learning activities
  • Working with small groups to reinforce learning
  • Providing additional support for pupils who require it
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Working closely with the class teacher to support lesson delivery
  • Supporting learning across KS1
  • Helping to maintain a calm, focused learning environment throughout the school day

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
  • Previous experience in a primary school setting
