Job Description:

We are looking for adaptable and proactive Teaching Assistants to support students in Liverpool's most diverse and fast-moving secondary schools. If you are a high-energy individual who enjoys a vibrant, multicultural environment and wants to help urban students reach their full potential, this is the role for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver 1:1 or small group support to help students master difficult subjects
  • Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
  • Supervise students during practical lessons and experiments to ensure safety
  • Keep a close eye on student progress and provide simple, encouraging feedback
  • Prepare the classroom environment and resources before each lesson begins
  • Act as a reliable mentor and positive role model for teenagers
  • Support the school's pastoral team in ensuring student well being and safety

Requirements:

  • A passion for education and helping young people reach their full potential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team
  • A professional manner and the resilience to handle a secondary school environment
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
