Teaching Assistant (TA) - Specialist SEN School. Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant ready to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse needs? Randstad Education is proud to support a warm and welcoming specialist school in Surrey for students aged 11 to 16. We cater to a range of needs including autism spectrum conditions, associated behaviours, moderate learning difficulties, and specific learning difficulties. Job Responsibility:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to students in the classroom and during activities
Assisting teachers in delivering a broad, personalised curriculum
Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development
Helping to manage classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive interactions
Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in a school setting
A genuine understanding and empathy for students with autism spectrum conditions, moderate learning difficulties, or specific learning difficulties
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team
Understanding of safeguarding principles
