Job Description

Justteachers is seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in June 2026 in the Harpurhey area to cover on a short term basis. Job Responsibility

Provide targeted support to pupils in both key stages, individually and in small groups, to help them access learning and make strong progress
Assist the class teacher with delivering high‑quality lessons, adapting resources and activities where needed
Help to create a positive, inclusive and well‑organised learning environment that supports pupils’ independence and confidence
Prepare and organise learning materials, classroom resources and displays
Supervise pupils during transitions, breaktimes, lunchtimes and other non‑teaching periods as required

Requirements

Experience working in a UK primary school setting
Understanding of KS1 and KS2 curriculum and classroom routines
Ability to support pupils' learning under teacher guidance
Strong communication skills with children and staff
