Job Responsibility:
Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their unique needs
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the ongoing assessment and progress monitoring of students
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every student feels valued and can thrive
Support student's social, emotional, and communication development, promoting independence and confidence
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education
Requirements:
6-12 months experience working in SEN or SEMH settings, specifically within a school or educational environment
Proven experience working with challenging behaviours in an educational context
UK-based experience is essential
Excellent spoken and written English is a must
A pass grade in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) is required
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role
Nice to have:
Transferable skills from other care-focused roles, such as SEN care, residential care, personal assistant to SEN, or fostering
