Job Description:

Justteachers are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a forward‑thinking SEND school in Macclesfield. Become part of a committed team within a specialist setting, supporting pupils aged 5–19 with a range of SEND needs. Your role will be to help foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child is encouraged to flourish.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group pastoral support to pupils with a variety of SEND needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that nurture emotional well‑being
  • Help pupils develop emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and key social skills
  • Support de‑escalation and guide restorative conversations when needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting (essential)
  • Background in supporting students with SEND, including Autism, SEMH, and other additional needs
  • Ability to stay composed and patient when faced with challenging situations
  • Strong commitment to supporting children’s learning and overall development
