Then Pebbles Education may have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join our team at our school in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Job Responsibility:

Assist in delivering our curriculum with a pupil-centred approach
Work collaboratively with our other departments to encourage our children to participate in education and reach their qualification goals
Working in groups and one-on-one with children who live within our Pebbles homes or attend on a day placement basis
Build meaningful and effective relationships with young people
Assist in delivering an individualised curriculum for all pupils
Use leading-edge technology to track and develop individual learning and continually develop your skills
Have the opportunity to be creative and contribute to the broader curriculum, including outdoor education and flexible learning

Requirements:

Strong communication skills
An empathetic and sympathetic nature
Enthusiasm for inclusive education
Excellent organisational skills
Work collaboratively with the broader team/ business but is also comfortable working independently
Commitment to continued personal development
Right to work in the UK
A full UK manual driving licence

Nice to have:

Knowledge of theoretical approaches to adverse childhood experiences, mental health, attachment, therapeutic parenting, etc., which can be applied to everyday practice
Experience in supporting young people with Additional Support Needs or the desire to undertake professional learning to gain skills in this area
Experience in Therapeutic Parenting practices
Previous experience is desirable but not essential
Current enhanced DBS
