Job Description:

Are you passionate about giving young children the very best start to their learning journey? The Gordon Children’s Academy are seeking a dedicated EYFS / KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. Our Teaching Assistant will play a key role in encouraging positive behaviour, promoting self-esteem, and fostering independent learning to support pupils’ overall development and academic progress.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting with the observation and monitoring of pupil progress
  • Maintaining accurate records of interventions and tracking achievements
  • Assisting with the preparation of differentiated learning materials and organise classroom displays
  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, promoting self-esteem, and fostering independent learning to support pupils’ overall development and academic progress

Requirements:

  • Phonics experience is desirable, preferably Little Wandle
  • There may be a requirement to work with pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs
  • There may also be a requirement to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training
