Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Cranleigh, Surrey. Salary: £20,224 - £21,032. Hours: 36 hours per week (Term-time + CPD days) | (Part-time 3+ days considered). Are you compassionate, resilient, and ready to change lives? We are looking for dynamic individuals to support students aged 5-19 with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities, and challenging behaviors, helping them develop essential life skills for a more independent future.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with groups of 8-13 students grouped by ability
  • Assist with literacy, numeracy, and PSHE using multi-sensory tools
  • Support students through moments of anxiety or frustration with a calm, patient approach
  • Provide essential care and hygiene support

Requirements

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Emotional and physical resilience to meet the demands of a specialist environment
  • A 'can-do' attitude and ability to work effectively within a team
