SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Cranleigh, Surrey. Salary: £20,224 - £21,032. Hours: 36 hours per week (Term-time + CPD days) | (Part-time 3+ days considered). We are looking for dynamic individuals to support students aged 5-19 with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities, and challenging behaviors, helping them develop essential life skills for a more independent future.
Job Responsibility
Work with groups of 8-13 students grouped by ability
Assist with literacy, numeracy, and PSHE using multi-sensory tools
Support students through moments of anxiety or frustration with a calm, patient approach
Provide essential care and hygiene support
Requirements
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Emotional and physical resilience to meet the demands of a specialist environment
