Job Description:

Teaching Assistants – Flexible daily and short-term roles available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teaching assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. We are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work across schools in St Albans and the surrounding areas. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, we can offer placements that suit your availability and preferences.

Job Responsibility:

Support pupils in both classroom and one-to-one settings
Assist the class teacher in delivering learning activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Help create a calm and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with the SENCO and other support staff to implement individual education plans
Provide feedback on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff
Support pupils during transitions and break times

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Strong understanding of behaviour management and inclusive practices
Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Resilient, patient and empathetic approach
Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology or youth work (desirable)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
