Teaching Assistant Required who is skilled at supporting Maths GCSE. Location: West Sussex. Contract: Full-time, Permanent. Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible. They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (Maths Specialism) to support their students through their GCSE maths. Job Responsibility:
Supporting students with Mathematics, up to and including GCSE level
Working alongside teachers to plan and deliver differentiated learning materials
Providing one-on-one and small group interventions to enhance students' understanding of key mathematical concepts
Supporting students with special educational needs (autism spectrum conditions) in their learning journey
Helping to monitor and assess student progress, reporting on their development and identifying areas for further support
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students
Requirements:
A strong knowledge of Maths, up to GCSE level
Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum (desirable but not essential)
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school environment
Nice to have:
A-level Maths or equivalent qualification
Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum
