Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants for our exceptional school in Hindhead, Surrey. The role involves supporting children aged 7-19 with autism spectrum conditions in a nurturing and innovative environment. The school offers small class sizes, personalized learning plans, and exceptional facilities for holistic development.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support to students in the classroom
assist teachers with lessons
provide individualized support
help create a positive learning environment
collaborate with the class teacher
implement personalized learning plans
ensure each student's needs are met
support students with activities, behaviour management, and personal care
promote a sense of safety, belonging, and well-being
participate in professional development and training

Requirements:

Genuine passion for working with children with autism spectrum conditions
patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting learners
experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (desirable)
experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners (desirable)
experience with speech & language or BSL (desirable)
valid DBS check
full driving licence (preferred)
