As the blossoms appear across Chester, our partner secondary schools are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams for the final, most impactful term of the academic year. From the historic city centre to the outskirts of Cheshire, schools are gearing up for a season of transformation. We need supportive, high-energy individuals ready to make a difference during this critical period.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist subject teachers with general classroom management
  • Support small groups of students with their daily classwork
  • Help prepare learning materials and classroom displays
  • Provide a positive presence during hall duties and break times
  • Assist with administrative tasks to keep the school day running smoothly
  • Guide students through revision tasks during the exam season

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a coaching, mentoring, youth-work or education setting
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written English to effectively support student learning
  • Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a commitment to apply for one)
  • Reliability: Excellent punctuality and a commitment to the school's term-time schedule
