Job Description:

Justteachers are looking for a caring and reliable KS1 Teaching Assistant to work in a vibrant Primary School in Grantham. This role will start straight away on a short-term supply basis. The school promotes collaboration and teamwork and offers a supportive school environment. The school has a positive ethos and focuses on developing personal skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and clarify instructions
  • Help pupils develop confidence and a love of learning
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to boost confidence and progress
  • Deliver reading and phonics interventions when necessary

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of SEN requirements and the KS1 curriculum
  • Two education or school-based references
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed
