This role is ideal for experienced TA's, university students looking for flexible income, or individuals with a background in childcare, support work, sports coaching, or youth mentoring who want to gain structured classroom experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Support pupils with their reading, writing, maths, or secondary subject curricula
  • Support the class teacher effectively
  • Build a safe, positive rapport with students

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (in a school, nursery, youth club, coaching, or similar setting)
  • A patient, enthusiastic personality with the ability to quickly build a safe, positive rapport with students
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills to confidently support pupils with their reading, writing, maths, or secondary subject curricula
  • An adaptable and proactive mindset-someone ready to jump into different classrooms and support the class teacher effectively
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for one)
  • 121 teaching experience
