Job Responsibility
Support Learning: Work closely with class teachers to deliver pre-planned activities and lessons, ensuring pupils stay engaged and on task.
Intervention & Groups: Lead small group interventions or provide 1:1 support for pupils who need extra help with literacy, numeracy, or social skills.
Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment.
Inclusion: Support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
Preparation: Assist with setting up the classroom in the morning and clearing away at the end of the day.
Requirements
Qualification: A minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience working within a UK primary school setting.
Adaptability: A flexible mindset, with the ability to walk into a new classroom and hit the ground running with a smile.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport with pupils, school staff, and parents.
Compliance: An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for one) and two professional references.
