Job Description:

Join a supportive and inspiring special school in Reigate to find dedicated Teaching Assistants. This role involves providing individualized support to students with severe or complex needs, autism, or social communication challenges. The job requires collaboration with teachers, enthusiasm, and the skills to create a safe and encouraging learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans and strategies
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential
Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters a sense of belonging and encourages students to thrive
Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students
Participate in a variety of activities, including preparing learning materials, supporting students with their work, and providing individualised support.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with special needs in a school setting
A strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with complex needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
