Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a calm, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in the Chichester area. This role involves supporting pupils with additional needs within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to provide consistent, individualised support to pupils throughout the school day
  • Helping students feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning
  • Adapting approach to meet a range of educational and emotional needs

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting pupils within the classroom
  • A proactive and resilient attitude
  • Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
