Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a calm, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in the Worthing area. This full-time, ongoing role involves supporting children with a range of special educational needs within a structured, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting children with a range of special educational needs within a structured, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Helping pupils feel safe, supported and engaged in their learning
Working closely with teaching and support staff
Providing consistent, individualised support
Adapting your approach to meet each student’s emotional, behavioural and learning needs

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with SEND (including SEMH, ASD or additional needs)
A calm, patient and empathetic approach
Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
Confidence supporting pupils within the classroom
A proactive, resilient and compassionate attitude
Must have the right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
