Job Responsibility

  • Providing individual and group support tailored to student needs
  • Assisting teachers in planning, preparing, and implementing engaging lesson plans
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Monitoring student progress diligently and providing feedback to teachers
  • Cultivating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Collaborating with parents and school staff for holistic student support
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour
  • Participating in professional development opportunities

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in education or related field
  • 1+ years of experience working with students with autism and challenging behaviours
  • Genuine passion for supporting students with special needs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt approach to diverse student needs
  • Proficient in using technology to support learning

Nice to have

  • Background in youth work
  • Experience in administering medication
  • Speech and language therapy experience
