Job Description

Justteachers are looking for a Teaching Assistant in a pioneering SEND school in Stockport. Join a dedicated team at an specialist school, supporting children aged 11–18 with diverse SEND needs. The role is to help create an inclusive, empowering learning environment where every child can thrive. This role is to start in September an opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.

Job Responsibility

Deliver 1:1 and small-group pastoral support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
Build strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional well-being
Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and essential social skills
Assist with de‑escalation and facilitate restorative conversations when required

Requirements

Demonstrated experience supporting children in SEND or targeted intervention roles
In-depth knowledge of SEND strategies and commitment to inclusive education
Ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and positive approach to learning and behaviour
Two or more recent, education based references within the last 2 years
