Job Description:

We are recruiting a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils, including those with additional learning needs, within a structured and nurturing school environment in Horley. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting emotional wellbeing, and reinforcing learning under the direction of the class teacher.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support behaviour management strategies
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Encourage independence and resilience
  • Assist with differentiated learning activities
  • Provide feedback on progress and classroom engagement
  • Help implement curriculum activities across subjects

Requirements:

  • Calm under pressure and adaptable
  • Experience supporting children with SEN
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Safeguarding is paramount
  • All applicants will undergo enhanced DBS clearance
