Teaching Assistant

• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils
• Building positive relationships with students to help them feel safe and enjoy learning
• Supporting positive behaviour and concentration levels, adapting your approach as needed
• Promoting independence and personal development with high expectations
• Assisting with the delivery of learning activities and providing resources
• Giving meaningful feedback on student progress and attitudes

• GCSE Maths and English Language (Grade 4 or equivalent)
• Experience working with SEN (Special Educational Needs) in an employed or voluntary setting
• Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
• Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
• Ability to provide consistent support and complete reports accurately
• Willingness to participate in the school's behaviour support approach, including physical intervention (Team Teach accredited) when absolutely necessary and as a last resort

A recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent
