We are currently recruiting for dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to join our partner schools across Liverpool. With the 2025/26 academic year moving into the final Summer Term, we need proactive individuals to support students through the critical exam season. Joining in May gives you the perfect opportunity to build relationships with staff and students before the summer break, setting you up for a successful transition into the new academic year this September.
Job Responsibility:
Support learning by working with small groups or individuals to reinforce lesson objectives
Manage behaviour within the classroom to maintain a focused and positive environment
Prepare resources and set up equipment before lessons to ensure a smooth start
Safeguard pupils by following all school policies and child protection procedures
Assist the teacher with administrative tasks and the display of student work
Lead interventions for students requiring extra help with literacy or numeracy
Requirements:
Previous experience in a school or similar environment
Strong communication, patience, and the ability to adapt to different learning needs
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
