Job Description

Primary Teaching Assistants Required - Wisbech. Are you a proactive, nurturing, and reliable individual looking for a rewarding role in education? We are recruiting dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants for daily and long-term roles at a variety of welcoming primary schools, infant schools, and academies across Wisbech and the surrounding Fenland area. This role is ideal for experienced teaching assistants, individuals with a background in childcare, support work, or sports coaching, or anyone looking to build meaningful classroom experience with younger learners.

Job Responsibility

  • Support pupils with their Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 classwork
  • Support the class teacher effectively

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children aged 4 to 11 (in a school, nursery, youth club, coaching, or similar setting)
  • A patient, enthusiastic personality with the ability to quickly build a safe, positive rapport with young children
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills to confidently support pupils with their Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 classwork
  • An adaptable and proactive mindset
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for one)
