We are seeking an empathetic, resilient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3) to join our specialist support team. In this role, you will become a key anchor for a small, close-knit class of just 8 to 10 pupils, all of whom have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Job Responsibility
Direct Pupil Support: Build trusting, supportive relationships with individual pupils or small groups. Model positive social interactions and assist with both emotional and physical care needs
EHCP Implementation: Work closely with the class teacher to ensure that every child's specific legal EHCP provisions and targets are meticulously met
Classroom Collaboration: Help prepare resources, adapt lessons to suit diverse learning styles, and maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized learning environment
Targeted Learning: Deliver creative learning activities for small groups who benefit from a different approach
Team Synergy: Maintain precise records of pupil progress, contribute to performance reports, and act as a collaborative peer or mentor to fellow TAs
