Job Description:

EdEx is exclusively partnered with a North London Secondary School in Haringey to offer Teaching Assistant roles for high-achieving graduates. This is an opportunity to gain one year of hands-on experience before embarking on salaried teacher training. You will support students across the school in various capacities, with the potential for further professional development.

Job Responsibility:

Support students across Key Stages (KS3, KS4, KS5) 1-2-1 and in small groups running interventions, academic booster session and revision sessions
Support students in your chosen subject specialism (any subjects like English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages)
Support students with mild to moderate SEN i.e. Autism, Speech and Language, SEMH etc
Full classroom support alongside qualified class teachers and exceptional leaders

Requirements:

A graduate, 1st Class or 2:1
Strong A Levels and GCSEs across the board – especially in your chosen subject specialism
An evident passion for inspiring young people – this must come across during interview
A general understanding of potential routes into teaching – but you don’t need to know everything
Resilience, Can-Do Attitude & Positive Demeanour – Teaching and Teaching Assistant roles are tough, but rewarding

Nice to have:

Experience like tutoring, mentoring, summer camps or childcare
