Since opening in September 2025, our brand-new Secondary School for Special Educational Needs has been more than just a place of learning-it's a sanctuary. We are looking for a founding Mentor and Teaching Assistant who understands that sometimes, the most important part of a student's day is simply being understood. The Mission: Connection Over Curriculum. Our students (aged 11-16) are bright, capable young people who navigate challenges with social communication and emotional regulation. In this role, you aren't just assisting; you are a steadying presence. Working in small, intimate class sizes with a full team of therapists and specialists, you will help bridge the gap between a student's potential and their daily hurdles.

Job Responsibility:

Providing emotional stability and a safe environment for students to grow
Helping young people develop the social tools they need for adulthood
Collaborating with teachers to make learning accessible, sensory-friendly, and rewarding
Keeping student wellbeing at the heart of everything you do

Requirements:

A calm temperament
GCSE Maths/English (Grade 4/C or equivalent)
The mindset to see challenging behavior as a cry for help or a puzzle to be solved
A desire to be part of a pioneering team and a willingness to learn a specialised approach to Autism support
Experience in Teaching
