Job Description:

Community-Oriented Teaching Assistant (LSW) Needed! Join them as a TA and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment for children and young adults with learning disabilities. This school is a close-knit community dedicated to supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related conditions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Encouraging and guiding students with complex needs, helping them build confidence and social skills
  • Providing a caring and structured environment that fosters emotional well-being and personal growth
  • Assisting with daily activities, including personal care (feeding, toileting, hygiene support) when necessary
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to support educational goals and behaviour management
  • Helping to create a fun, safe, and engaging atmosphere where all students feel included and valued

Requirements:

  • Experience in care, education, or a similar field
  • Patience and positivity
  • Experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviours
  • Personal experience supporting someone with special needs

Nice to have:

Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, CACHE)
