Randstad is recruiting a proactive and adaptable Primary Supply Teaching Assistant to support local schools across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). This role offers the perfect balance of rewarding classroom experience without the take-home pressure of planning and marking. Job Responsibility

  • Assist class teachers with resource preparation and setting up learning environments
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support focusing on core literacy and numeracy skills
  • Provide tailored assistance to pupils with diverse learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere by implementing school behaviour policies
  • Supervise children during break and lunchtimes, ensuring a safe environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience working within a UK primary school or childcare setting
  • Strong communication skills and a reliable, adaptable work ethic
  • Knowledge of the primary national curriculum (KS1/KS2)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one)
  • Right to work in the UK
