Teaching Assistant

Position: 0.90 FTE Teaching Assistant (multiple positions available) Location: Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center (FLTCC), Stanley, NY 14561 Benefits include paid holidays & leave time, NYS retirement, and health & dental insurance. Teaching Assistants provide instructional services to students under the general supervision of a licensed or certified teacher and complete related work as required. The duties of this position may require specific skills and abilities based on the students' needs and/or program, including but not limited to: - Ability to work with a diverse population of students. - Support students to ensure a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning. - Implement specialized instruction to students. - Collaborate with colleagues and assist teacher to meet student learning needs. - Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders. - Assist with maintaining record keeping. - Attend staff meetings and trainings. - Promote equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments Only candidates who hold NYS Teaching Assistant certification will be considered.
