Teaching Assistant to HLTA Opportunity in SEN. Join a dedicated and supportive team as a Teaching Assistant with a clear pathway to becoming a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
  • Provide tailored support to students, addressing their academic and emotional needs
  • Implement effective classroom management and positive behavioural strategies
  • Track and celebrate student progress, fostering a culture of resilience and achievement
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Maintain strong communication with parents, staff, and other professionals
  • Participate in professional development to enhance your skills in SEN and child development

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, either professionally or personally
  • Essential qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent)
  • Proven skills in classroom management, individualised learning support, and professional knowledge of SEN and child development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car are essential for this role
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with special needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, resilient attitude
