This school has recently expanded and due to a huge demand in the local area currently support 100+ pupils with moderate to severe SEN needs. This setting welcomes learners from across the county with varying needs and is part of a network of 7 sister schools. This school is currently seeking a teaching assistant to join there secondary department. This is supporting learners aged 11-16 years. In this role you will support small classes of 3-10 learners on a 1:1 and whole class basis. Your join a welcoming team of 2 TA's and 1 class teacher. This school is Ofsted outstanding and is commended by parents, staff and children alike for being a inclusive, nurturing and safe environment for SEN children to thrive. This role is a term time only position starting ASAP. Applicants must be available Monday-Friday 08:30-4:30pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting in the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and educational activities
  • Supporting learners with SEN on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis

Requirements:

  • Relevant SEN experience
  • Experience (voluntary or paid) working with children and young adults
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
