We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Chichester, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and structured environment. You will be working with pupils who may present challenging behaviour, which can include both verbal and physical behaviours, so the school are looking for someone who is calm, patient and confident in their approach. The role will begin through Pink Tile, with opportunities for temp to perm positions for the right candidate. The school would like candidates to attend a trial day before the end of term. The Role: Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Assisting with classroom activities and daily routines Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence Managing and responding to challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner Supporting emotional regulation and social development Working closely with teachers and the wider support team Key Details: Location: Chichester Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: £93.62 – £105 per day (depending on experience) Start: ASAP Trial Day: Required before the end of term Temp to perm opportunities available Requirements: Previous experience supporting individuals with SEND (school or care background) Confident supporting challenging behaviour (verbal and/or physical) Patient, resilient and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs What’s in it for You?
