Job Description:

A thriving primary school in Crawley, is seeking an exceptional Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting students with SEN to join our dedicated team. Starting Date: January 2025. Job Responsibility:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with a variety of SEN, implementing tailored learning plans and strategies
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to student learning
  • Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and well-being
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the student's care
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in adjusting teaching strategies and support plans to meet individual student needs

Requirements:

  • Proven SEN Experience
  • Passionate and Empathetic
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Team Player
  • Patient and Understanding
  • Resourceful and Creative
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Relevant experience in a school setting is highly desirable
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, or equivalent experience
  • SEN experience is essential
