The Role: More Than Just a Teaching Assistant. No two days are the same here, and neither are our children. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be a vital part of our school community, wearing many hats and being prepared to change them at a moment's notice! Your ability to be resilient, persistent, and solution-focused will be key to meeting our pupils' diverse needs.
Job Responsibility:
Support teaching and learning, working both 1:1 and with small groups of students
Manage classroom resources and create engaging displays
Accompany children on educational trips and visits
Have lunch with children who may struggle socially
Keep children safe during heightened behaviours
Create, play, and teach games to pupils
Celebrate every success
Actively participate in therapeutic training sessions and reflective practice
Contribute to decision-making, academic curriculum and extra-curricular offerings
Requirements:
Experience in managing challenging behaviour
Good basic understanding of English and Maths
Resilient, persistent, and solution-focused
Ability to be flexible and non-judgmental
Strong behaviour management skills
Excellent communication skills
