Job Responsibility:
Deliver teaching and support to pupils, adhering to individualised curricula
Plan, prepare, and conduct lessons and activities with an emphasis on communication and life skills
Facilitate pupils' participation in trips, integrating theory-based learning into practical experiences
Provide behaviour-based support to mitigate and replace behaviours that affect quality of life
Assist with personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable hygiene standards (e.g., toileting, feeding)
Monitor pupil progress to ensure teaching methods are suitable and effective for each child's needs
Assist with break time duties, including playground supervision and snack time assistance
Requirements:
Professional, personal or voluntary experience of working with children and disabilities
Minimum Grade C/4 GCSE in English Language & Maths or equivalent
Comfortable working with children who exhibit behaviour that challenges
Comfortable supporting others with personal/intimate care where required
Ability to keep calm in high pressure situations
Right to work in the UK
