Teaching assistant (sen)

• Deliver teaching and support to pupils, adhering to individualised curricula
• Plan, prepare, and conduct lessons and activities with an emphasis on communication and life skills
• Facilitate pupils' participation in trips, integrating theory-based learning into practical experiences
• Provide behaviour-based support to mitigate and replace behaviours that affect quality of life
• Assist with personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable hygiene standards (e.g., toileting, feeding)
• Monitor pupil progress to ensure teaching methods are suitable and effective for each child's needs
• Assist with break time duties, including playground supervision and snack time assistance

• Professional, personal or voluntary experience of working with children and disabilities
• Minimum Grade C/4 GCSE in English Language & Maths or equivalent
• Comfortable working with children who exhibit behaviour that challenges
• Comfortable supporting others with personal/intimate care where required
• Ability to keep calm in high pressure situations
• Right to work in the UK
