Job Responsibility:
Provide tailored support to students with diverse special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviours
Assist with engaging classroom activities, maintaining a positive and safe learning atmosphere
Offer personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support, when necessary
Implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of classroom teachers
Cultivate a nurturing environment to boost student engagement and participation
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver holistic education and care
Requirements:
Experience with children with special educational needs is a plus, but not essential
Ability to handle and positively respond to challenging behaviour
Willingness to provide personal care as required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation due to the school's location and off-site activities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with SEN
