Exciting Opportunity: Teaching Assistants Wanted at an Innovative SEN School in Cranleigh! Do you have a passion for transforming the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Job Responsibility:

  • Provide tailored support to students with diverse special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviours
  • Assist with engaging classroom activities, maintaining a positive and safe learning atmosphere
  • Offer personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support, when necessary
  • Implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of classroom teachers
  • Cultivate a nurturing environment to boost student engagement and participation
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver holistic education and care

Requirements:

  • Experience with children with special educational needs is a plus, but not essential
  • Ability to handle and positively respond to challenging behaviour
  • Willingness to provide personal care as required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation due to the school's location and off-site activities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with SEN
