Job Description

We are looking for extraordinary adults who can provide consistent, flexible, and non-judgmental support to children with complex and challenging behaviors. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be a vital part of our school community, wearing many hats and being prepared to change them at a moment's notice! Your ability to be resilient, persistent, and solution-focused will be key to meeting our pupils' diverse needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Support teaching and learning, working both 1:1 and with small groups of students
  • Manage classroom resources and create engaging displays that enhance the learning environment
  • Accompany children on educational trips and visits
  • Have lunch with children who may struggle socially, offering crucial support and connection
  • Utilize strong behavior management skills and excellent communication to keep children safe during heightened behaviors
  • Create, play, and teach games to pupils, fostering their social skills and reinforcing learning
  • Have a good basic understanding of English and Maths
  • Celebrate every success, big or small
  • Actively participate in therapeutic training sessions and reflective practice
