Teaching Assistant (TA) - Specialist SEN School Location: Surrey Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, Term-time only Start Date: ASAP Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant ready to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse needs? The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' learning and well-being.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students in the classroom and during activities
  • Assisting teachers in delivering a broad, personalised curriculum
  • Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive interactions
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally in a school setting
  • A genuine understanding and empathy for students with autism spectrum conditions, moderate learning difficulties, or specific learning difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles
