We are an all-through school (ages 5-16) in the North of Bath, committed to providing exceptional education for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. We're looking for a talented Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting pupils with their academic work, offering both individual and group assistance
Creating a safe and supportive learning environment specifically tailored for students with SEMH needs
Collaborating closely with teachers to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
Monitoring pupil progress and providing valuable feedback to teachers
Assisting with classroom management and implementing effective behaviour support strategies
Building positive relationships with pupils and their families, fostering trust and open communication
Participating enthusiastically in school events and activities
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEMH needs
Patient, understanding, and empathetic approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Relevant qualification in education or a related field (desirable, not essential)

Early childhood studies degree
Health and social care experience
